Magicians Land is the conclusion to Quentin Coldwater’s story, and it starts where The Magician King, the second book in the series, left off. I spent a lot of time defending this certain rape scene as a plot device and now that I have had more time to think about it I don't feel the same way anymore. As I was editing this podcast I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the way I was going about the discussion with Sophie. Quentin Coldwater, Grossmans Orpheus and his Abraham, his Yahweh and his Puck, enchants as few other magicians can, or dare.
